Michael PhillipsMichael Phillips, Principal Associate
Mike Phillips established Weldon Phillips International (WPI) in 2003.  Mike was named the 2013 CFO of the Year by the Cincinnati Business Courier 250 for work performed in the Cincinnati, Ohio area.  Prior to WPI, Mike served as CFO and Vice President of Business Development for Iluka Inc. and CFO Latin America for Global Industrial Technologies.  Mike has served as Project Executive for 5 major ERP implementations.  Mike Phillips serves on the Board of Directors for Financial Executives International (FEI). He has a Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest School of Law, MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, and a BA in Accounting and Business Administration from Malone College.


Thomas Weldon, (In Memoriam) Principal Associate
Tom Weldon was the inspiration behind forming Weldon Phillips International (WPI).  Mr. Weldon’s career and expertise centered on business development.   Prior to WPI, Mr. Weldon’s career included being City Manager of the city of Santa Maria and serving as CEO / President of three California based construction companies.  Tom was a graduate of Santa Clara University and is survived by his wife of 62 years and six children.


Ed Campbell, Associate — Sustainable Cost Reductions
Ed brings extensive experience in analyzing data and trends to provide a workable platform for clients, as they seek improvement in performance results, capital productivity, and organization effectiveness.  Ed runs the Sustainable Cost Reduction Program for WPI.  Prior to becoming part of WPI, Ed has been Controller at Interstate Paper in Savannah, Georgia and part of the leadership team at Iluka Resources Inc. a mining firm based in Jacksonville, Florida.  He spent 15 years with the TTX Company, including serving as Controller for a subsidiary start-up.  Ed Campbell has a BBA from the University of Georgia.


Jan Cook, Associate
Jan is an achievement oriented leader with 20+ years of Finance and System Development experience.  Jan previously served as CFO at Church Services, Senior Director of FP&A at Ascend Performance Materials, and VP Operations at American Standard Warranty Company.  Jan Cook has a MS in Applied Mathematics from Johns Hopkins University, BS in Mathematics from Texas A&M, and graduated from General Electric's Financial Management Program.


Phil Gregory, CPA, Associate
Phil was an audit partner of PriceWaterhouseCoopers for 25 years.  Phil developed a broad level of expertise with public, private, and not-for-profit companies.  His Big 4 audit partner experience includes expertise in Banking, Manufacturing, Mining, Energy, Real Estate and Consulting.  Phil Gregory has a BS in Accountancy from the University of Kentucky.


Martin Cock Henandez, Engineer Colombia, Associate
Martin is an Operations and Engineering Executive based in Colombia with over 20 years experience in leadership roles as Project Engineer - Process & Technology Design, Plant Start-up / Installation Manager, Plant Manager (Operations & Maintenance), Logistics / SCM Specialist. Martin has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA (Marketing Emphasis), both from EAFIT University in Medellin, Colombia. He is fluent if English, Italian and Spanish, and is member of the National Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Professional Council.


Krista Klarer, Associate — Head of Training
Krista runs all training programs for WPI including ERP Training and the popular Finance Bootcamp.  Krista is a natural teacher with a passion for education.  Over 150 people have completed the two day Finance Bootcamp helping to significantly raise the overall financial IQ of each participant.  Reviews of the program average 4.7 (scale = 1 lowest,  5 highest).  Prior to WPI, Krista worked as a financial analyst for Sara Lee Corporation before moving into ERP and Finance training.  Krista Klarer has a Bachelors of Business Management from Xavier University.


Gary McMahill, Optimization Associate
Gary spent most of his career working for DuPont in various technical and leadership roles.  Prior to his retirement from DuPont, Gary led an optimization program that improved efficiencies and saved $400 million for the White Pigment Division of DuPont.  Gary is an expert in Decision & Risk Analysis programs.  Gary McMahill has a BS in Civil Engineering from Bradley University.


Marco Trujillo, Public Accountant Mexico, Associate
Marco is an international finance executive based in Queretaro / Mexico City, and has a track record of increasing efficiency and profitability for Latin American businesses. Marco's 30 years of experience includes M&A (deal negotiations, due diligence, and integration), Start-ups, and managing the entire Administration Function. He is fluent in Spanish and English. Marco Trujillo is a graduate in Accounting from Guadalajara University (Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara) and is member of the Mexican Institute of Public Accountants.


Boyd Whitworth, Associate
Boyd is a finance executive with over 20+ years including both public and privately held companies.  He has significant international experience working in Indonesia and Botswana, Africa with Weldon Phillips International.  Boyd Whitworth has a BS Accountancy and MBA from Idaho State University.


Michaela M.G. Phillips, Intern
Michaela serves as an Intern for WPI assisting with website development.  Michaela Phillips is a graduate student at Loyola University of Chicago. She received 10 academic awards for her undergraduate work and was a finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship. Michaela also attended Oxford University where she was named "Miss Oxford".
